Jack Dendall is one of the top linemen in the LL Berks, come next year he will be a highly sought-after recruit. Coming in at 6’3 and close to 300 pounds, it is not hard to believe why his Wilson Bulldogs have not missed a beat in their potent running game. The Junior knows the task at hand playing for one of the best schools in the district year in and year out, he stopped by to talk about that and a few other topics:
Carl Frederick: What is it like to play for Wilson? Years of tradition and success do you and your squad take every week like everyone is after the Bulldogs?
Jack Dendall: I'm proud to fight for the legacy of Wilson football. It's always been a strong program. It really feels like a tight family bond, and we do everything together. We feel like everyone gives us their best shot, but that just means we give everyone all we have every week. I think it makes us a better team.
CF: How are your college visits going thus far?
JD: I’ve been out to a few games this fall and have talked with some college coaches, but mainly I'm focused on Manheim Township and the rest of our games this season to make a run at a district championship.
CF: Why do teams still kick it to Cam Jones?
JD: I have no idea, lol. But honestly, i don't think people kick to him on purpose. It's a lot of fun to watch when he does get it though
CF: You have a bitter rivalry with Manheim Township, what is one area that stands out to you the most about them?
JD: The kind of team they have had over the last few years always makes for a good Friday night game and a great atmosphere. Those are the kind of games I live for
CF: Give our audience a fact that we may not know about Jack Dendall?
JD: I grew up with my family in the military and played football in California and Florida before i moved here in 7th grade.
Dendall and the Bulldogs have a great challenge at hand Friday night when they travel to face Manheim Township. With a share of the Section title still on the line, expect this heated rivalry to live up to the hype. I will be covering the game stay tuned for updates on my twitter @carljfred.
