Interview by Carl Frederick

Matthew Remash is a two-sport star athlete for the McCaskey Red Tornadoes. One of the top quarterbacks in the LL Berks league Remash heads into Senior season for track and field hoping to bring home more hardware for him and his teammates. A league champion Javelin thrower Remash and the Red Tornadoes have even bigger goals for this spring. The signal caller/thrower took time out of his crazy schedule to sit down with the 717 crew, the interview is below:

Carl Frederick: What has your schedule been like going from Football to school to track plus all your college visits tell us about that?

Matthew Remash: My schedule has been packed. The transition from football to track has been super easy with the shotput being the only throwing event in the winter. College visits have been going well. I’m starting to cut down on my decisions on where I’ll be going.

CF: We have asked you this before but at the next level would you rather play football or throw in track?

MR: I would rather play football, that’s my sport. But if I have the opportunity to compete in both sports, I will take full advantage of that.

CF: Compare what it’s like to go from Coach Thompson in football to Coach Jennings in track?

MR: Coming into track from football you can feel a completely different vibe. You can tell people are here to win for track and are willing to do whatever to help the team succeed. We want to go back-to-back-to-back. It’s our goal we don’t like losing in track.

CF: Give us a prediction for McCaskey Track and Field this season?

MR: I believe we have a strong team. I feel we can do things in field this year. The track is something to really worry about because we have some dogs out there.

CF: Last one give our audience a fun fact we may not know about Matthew Remash?

MR: I love Greek mythology

Remash excels on the field and in the classroom for the Red Tornadoes, any school that gives him an opportunity will certainly be rewarded.
